But I would argue that would mean it is for them. I don't think Todd Phillips sought out to make a movie for people like that, but if they identify with it then it is for them.

Spirited Away is one of the greatest anime films ever. Idc if anime fans act pretentious about it cause it's Disney esque. Such a beautiful and well crafted film and story that just sticks with you.

I get disconnected with it a bit towards the end but those first 90ish minutes are incredible

I guess it hit for me at the right time. It dropped around the beginning of my senior year in high school and I was able to connect with it a ton
