They really have a couple ways to go about it, bc we do still have the other healing type that’s already been shown to be in this cour. So we could go “it was all a dream”, we could go pump fake on the Majin Vegeta Final Explosion. Few different ways to still stick in the general manga canon of things

its absolutely going to be framed that way. i wish we got this when the manga was releasing because the internet would have f***ing exploded seeing orihime do that and thinking the series is about to end right there

im pretty sure we're just going to see ywach break ichigo's bankai and we return to manga timeline after he uses his hax to turn back time/change timelines. can only hope that the sequence of events that occur after that are changed, like that we get to see aizens bankai and that the real final fight is less lame

Problem with TYBW is the attention for characters nobody gives af about. Who actually gave af about these stern ritters like we did ulquiorra, grimmjow, or the captains like kenpachi in soul society arc?

I think within the constraints of what the manga presented, they did what they could. Haschwalth and Bazz B are like the only ones that have real narrative and they fleshed that out even more. They gave a couple of the earlier ones some background/reasoning. Unfortunately from like cour 2 on, most of the Sternritters are just canonical villains of the week and they only had so many episodes to fix this arc

I was hoping he’d get like 100 episodes for this arc when it got announced for that reason though lol. I’m glad we got 50, but I think 100, you get enough space to have made all the villains and returning cameo characters matter more. We still ultimately won’t get much of consequence from Tia/Tier, Nel, Grimmjow, etc…but what can you do
