So these episodes are streaming in Japan currently as they’re being theatrically released in America. Does that mean we can watch the Japanese episodes somewhere?

I gotta drive about an hour to watch them at my nearest theatre smh

Saw this in theaters, animation was fire ofc but ngl after the 2nd cour I lost the plot of this arc. Just feels like Kubo was making s*** up on the fly.

Never read the manga but it seems like he wrote himself into a corner with how OP the sternritters were and he had to make the captains do some ass pulls just to beat them

exactly how i feel. them soul society captains losing their bankais (Very interesting way to give an arc more stakes) then them getting them back almost immediately was so disappointing. still very interested in the arc but damn that was such a sell.

Now imagine that feeling after reading week to week for several years and then getting the ending we about to get

Looks like they’re already cleaning up the A vs B fight based on the trailer. Gerard fight remains to be seen. They just showed like 40% of the Aizen/Yhwach fight as it appears in the manga, so I’m assuming there’s a TON of new content there.

Idk what you can do to make the HoS Ichigo/Yhwach fight have more weight since we know he can’t kill the guy but I digress

I was way too invested into 4NW to keep up with TYBW when it was being released but even reading it like 2 years after it ended, I felt for the Bleach heads online

he just wrote himself into the craziest corners then had to rush an ending, I struggle to see how they’ll fix it even still in the anime after cour 3 which was pretty meh

I don't remember Cour 3 enough tbh. In looking at the episodes though:

1. I liked the Ichigo-Uryu additions.
2. Continued additional sprinkles about the SK and him actually being sentient even now
3. Ofc Renji-Uryu
4. felt like they added a lil bit more spice (narratively) to Bazz-B and Haschwalth but I could be wrong

I think there's generally some fun fights in cour 3 honestly. I don't remember it being like 9/10 or anything but I don't remember thinking it was meh. Is your gripe mainly that it doesn't do much for setting up a different ending?

honestly man you just make the fights in cour 4 feel like they're more fleshed out and that's all I ask for. I expect the narrative side of things to not be perfect, but those fights were all underwhelming in the manga, outside of Urahara's (off of the top of my head). And when you consider who he's fighting, that's the least important that Kubo got right lol.

I feel like you just add some more scenes for the BG characters that deliver us the ending (literally and metaphorically) and I'd be happy. It was just jarring that they literally just pop in and give the arrow and disappear lol
