This honestly feels like a different series than the manga just due to the vast contrast in pacing lmao
It was that good
fair enough, just saying this been a damn good year for anime
We need to put these episode titles on a collage cuz ain’t nobody doing it like Bleach
When old man Yama t'd up and that orchestra kicked in
I swear every episode I get goosebumps from the animation, the tone and the music
Also was that flashback new anime only content? I don’t remember it being in the manga

I really don’t know how to feel about it
Some of my best memories from bleach are the episode long fights with amazing dialogue
I thought they’d improve on it by adding more kinetic choreography and less filler but they’ve gone a different direction so far

ill say a couple things just bc I know exactly what youre talking about and largely relate as a shonen lover as a kid.
1. its an anime thing as a whole. anime fights just don't last the way they way used to (which seems to be the way the current generation like it)
2. The manga had a ton of one shots/quick fights early. like you suggested, they could've just added some more scenes or dialog to give those fights brevity, or they could do what they've done, and pretty much just roll through those fights, but in a way that still looks visually satisfying.
to me, the fights they need to land won't start until the next cour. they can afford for these to be bite sized

Good thing I read the manga cause I honestly can't imagine how anime onlys did it with the drawn out still battles
I'm loving the series direction today

And there’s nothing wrong w bite sized fights
Take jjk for instance. Fights are like 1 to 3 minutes but they make up for it with AMAZING choreography and animation and by giving us multiple an episode
But yea i agree
What was up with that Hell chapter, one off or is Kubo gonna follow up on that?
His VA kills it
