They definitely need to rewrite almost the entire ending though. Hell you could rewrite just about everything Ichigo does after the soul palace. He just gets sonned again and again

Soul Society arc is some of the most solid writing in all of anime and manga.

And yeah honestly I would love a bleach remake. I really don't care about the last arc of bleach and will only check it out if the animation is good so whereas the first arcs of the series still hold to this day and I would love to see them with the anime standard of today's shonens like OPM/Fire force/BNH/KnY. They could have done similar to HxH 2011 where they just start from the beginning cut all the fillers and adapt the last arc.
D gray got a remake (although I haven't watched it), Captain Tsubasa also, Shaman King almost had one so that's not unheard of either.

I have never seen a primary protagonist get sonned like Ichigo. He has NEVER won a battle without miracle intervention

Up until Gerald (the big miracle mfer that kept regenerating) I thought it was comparable to the arrancar arc, Kubo just didn’t have enough time to expound on all the villains

Part of that is him being too wishful as well

He should also keep a character dead who we thought was dead till he was brought back

Kubo’s health was declining incredibly fast while writing the last arc. He said it would be the longest arc but it was considerably shorter than the Arrancar arc. He said Rangiku would have a big role in the story but that ended happening in the LNs iirc. He straight up scrapped Ukitake’s fight vs (most likely) Askin and various other fights he said he wanted to do. In Volume 65 he outright said he wanted to include so much more but he couldn’t. Same s*** happened with the Fullbring arc but even worse imo because TYBW at least had a strong first half, the Fullbring arc outright had all its meat cutout. That’s why the LNs exist to tie up loose ends. As much as I love his art Kubo really should’ve got himself an artist. It would’ve saved him so much pain.
