It’s pretty astonishing that this even got green-lit given the fact that BR49’s box-office performance could’ve buried this franchise forever.

That said, it does not look like it will carry on the spirits of previous BR projects unfortunately..

I’ll try to keep an open mind when it drops & not fixate on what it should’ve been.

I slightly prefer the original Blade Runner tbh. Can’t blame anyone for liking 2099 more but the ambiance, ending, and monologue of the original get me every time

Personally I’m more of a 2049 guy, but I can still recognize how artistically accomplished the original BR was, especially for an early '80s sci-fi film. The atmosphere they tried to portray felt just right
