nah but im sure they were compensated greatly for putting their album and podcast on there. Maybe he owns a percentage of the company
He doesn’t. Again, if the issue is money, they could make millions off a digital, vinyl, cassettes, merch.
I just don’t get ranting about a streaming service to go to another streaming service; if it’s about money that is.
As a fan, I can’t contribute anything towards this long-awaited project
?????? Huhhhhhhh
That was a meme because he had a lot of inside info on what Black Thought &/or The Roots were up to behind the scenes lol

His gripe isnt with streaming services, just spotify because of their revenue model. If he agrees someone should have the right to take their artistic labor to the market however they see fit, I have no issue with him going the luminary route if he was compensated fairly
mannnnn so be it feels like it’s straight from The Ecstatic
It kinda is from that era. I've had Mos' portion of the song since 2011 or so. Madlib premiered it on Benji B's show back then.

It was 2014 but I listened to the entire show and didn’t hear the track

Found it. It’s from 2013. Plays around the 55 min mark
Aethiopes is probably still the AOTY, but this def challenges it for me
Which is kinda funny cause Preservation was Yasiin's DJ for so long
Opinions aside, what did billy woods do on Aethiopes that he didn't do on his other projects?
And Preservation is no Madlib

There’s another version of this from even earlier called white drapes
I think no fear of time came from like zamba rock so 2017 or before and then talib was added
What's all there? Mineral Mountain, Tribute, early/leaked versions of The main thing and Sweetheart, and that short untitled snippet from years ago. Anything else missing?

And then this is an acapella of his “my favorite band” verse from a few years ago.
BUT I’m happy these finally got official placement
