good thread. Olive oil is pretty good for my hair, but this is a good reference to know where to go next.
I'm sure this is a silly question, but is is bad to use shampoo on your hair everyday/ every other day?
Asking because I currently one use this Shea Moisture Shampoo once a week - it has my hair feeling smooth & soft asf for the day, but the following day(s) when I don't use it it feels rough asf.
I got a low cut btw, 4c hair.

pretty much the worst thing you can do to it, you're stripping your hair of all its natural, healthy oils every time you do that. shampoo is like a heavy duty soap. most black folks only need to shampoo like once every 2 weeks. just co-wash if it feels dirty and keep it moisturized.
My hair grows mad slow so this is like a year and 6/7 months of freeforming
I think I have 4c hair. I chopped my hair off completely back in February/Early March last year

Once every 2 weeks?
You mean this for trying to form dreads or just in general? Because even once a week is pushing it imo, my hair dirty and greasy after like 3 days already

do women get lined up in the front or doesnt it matter with long hair
I feel like most women donβt get lineups, growing up my moms used to keep the short cut but she never lined her s*** up and Iβve seen women do the same. But maybe itβs a preference thing
