definitely leaning towards this game being on the easy side. just beat tiger vanguard (1 try) and complete chapter 2 right at 7 hours. i've been beating every boss on the first or second try, except for wondering wright but that felt like an early game skill check
i'm using pretty much the same strategy on every boss and it works every time. immobilize, build 2 focus points, resolute strike + follow up, red tides and then build 2 focus points and resolute strike + follow up and repeat over and over again. doesn't even really matter if you get the parry buff on resolute strike or not cause if you're aggressive enough you'll pretty much always have the boss staggered
i'm really enjoying the game though. just waiting for the difficultly to pick up a bit
damn bro I can’t even beat yellow wind sage

Lol you better get!
The pc graphics of the stone tiger face sculpture rising out of the blood pool and its mouth opening a pathway is some amazing s*** ngl
The black loong electric wave move where you have to keep jumping is the cheapest s*** in this game this far
You get hit with one and literally can’t f***ing move to dodge the others. Straight bullshit

Ok just fought tiger vanguard, also 1st try, one of the easiest bosses in the game lmao this ain’t a flex
How did this strategy work against yellow wind sage?
Don't think the game is easy. Just easy for veterans of souls games.
I had a time with a couple bosses but it's no biggie after something like sekiro.
But for people who are used to normal rpg's yeah it can be a transition.
Sometimes combat feels a bit broken, like abilities do nothing but they get “used up” and so I gotta wait for the long ass cooldown and I can’t tell why.

ngl i got ahead of myself
i assumed tiger vanguard was the final boss for chapter 2 and that jumping into that pit would start chapter 3 so i stopped playing for the night and wrote that post
however i just beat yellow wind sage with that same strategy on my 2nd try. the key is just to be ultra aggressive to keep your focus points up. i pretty much only back up if i need to heal or if i run out of stamina. i can upload both attempts to streamable if you want

Alright ima try being more aggressive, what skills are focusing on leveling up rn? I would like to see your attempts tbh but not until after I beat him so no rush.
Also what level are you at?

most of my points are in martial arts, survival, smash stance and immobilize. i have a few in the category to the left of smash stance too in order to get 3 focus points and i was level 35
i had to change them to 720p to upload but here's attempt 1

attempt 2 but it only started recording halfway through for some reason

My least used skill is the duplicate monkey thing, takes to long to cast, and the damage to mana ratio isn’t worth it for me
Immobilising and transform gang we here

Everyone is raving about this game. I only read the wikipedia of the novel that the game is based off of. Is it essential to read the novel before the game? I like a good story and I don't want to ruin the experience by not knowing anything
