If you're on PS5, switch back and forth between performance mode and balance mode and you'll feel the difference. Even though balance mode isn't as smooth visually it's actually more responsive and easier to time dodges because performance mode is using frame generation which adds input lag

I always choose quality because I want the best image over fps personally, unless it’s in first person because 30fps makes me feel sick in first person.
