Third episode is dumb. I'm sure it's been said but the robots should be in the ship
First 3 episodes were good with Beyond The Sea being my favorite..like y'all said it's not "mind-blowing" or had the same feeling that the first 4 seasons gave...but the last 2 episodes were not great for me. Just felt like I was watching a low budget Netflix horror movie.
Am I tripping or am I picking up a vibe that Aaron Paul is closeted in that episode

Definitely the one I've enjoyed the most, it was the most "intense" one
The other ones felt so wokeified and PG-ified
A common theme Im finding with these episodes though is that these scripts would have been much better off as full length movies. Its sad what the cinematic world is coming to, long gone are the days of new original films with big budgets and dedicated creative teams

wokeified lmao
I do agree with the PG-ification i found myself wanting them to push the episodes further in some way
And also agree these episodes suffer from the purgatory that is the hour-length format to an extent. But even within those time constraints I don't think thats the main problem
Mazey Day could've used a little more to the story imo

U f***ed with the metaphor?
I have my issues with it but I think the concept is sort of good. It would have played a lot better if it was feature length and not an episode of Black Mirror.

Exactly bro, its just hard under that short time constraint
It was solid

Yes bro
You could tell that Booker approached Mazey Day strictly from a metaphorical perspective.
It’s basically like Nightcrawler, a commentary on America’s obsessive “If it bleeds, it leads” mentality. The paparazzi are the predators and the celebs are the prey. The celebs are vilified and dehumanized so much that they turn into “werewolves”. It represents a lack of empathy. The twist is supposed to come completely out of nowhere to play with our expectations, and the idea of how we create narratives for people we don’t actually know. It’s also just a neat reversal of power dynamics.
It’s far from subtle, but from a strictly metaphorical perspective, it actually makes more sense than a lot of other episodes this season. Mainly just needed more time to flesh out the characters.
wish they found an alternative to aaron paul to do beyond the sea
love jesse forever but he’s such an awful actor and a poor choice given the subject matter
Just finished too and feel the same way
Wasn't "classic" or "iconic" or "mind-blowing" like past seasons/episodes but was mostly entertaining
Yh this season didn't have the highs of some earlier seasons (let's be honest, they were few and far between even at this show's peak) but it was decent to good across the whole season imo. Probably the only season I didn't hate at least 1 episode

Spot on bro
Would be so meta if Black Mirror comes out and says the lost Titanic Submarine is the 6th episode of the season
Again the first two were the best episodes.
Third one seemed okay, but it doesn't really make sense.
Last two are so-so
