favorite episodes in order:

Demon 79 (episode 5)
felt the most epic in scale. had a lot of comical dialogue and really felt more like a fantasy adventure than a sci fi dystopia type of situation. i've encountered stories like these in old children's literature i used to read typically where a weird entity arrives (typically a demon) that forces the individual to have to make questionable decisions while they form a sort of weird friendship along the way. this is basically the plot to both parasyte and death note so i guess it's a pretty common trope tho i'm not sure what the official name for it is. anyway, bangin episode. the black demon had to be among my favourite characters this season and was really likable and fun the whole way through. he probably made the episode for me.

Beyond the sea (episode 3)
this was my original pick for best episode. i feel like it was pretty close between these two because both featured great characterisation and an amazing plot. this one featured a marvellous guest performance from Aaron Paul. I'd say Aaron Paul's performance in this had to be my favourite this season although the black demon was probably my favourite character overall. Just in the sense that Aaron's performance was the most emotional and evocative while the demon was simply the most entertaining character to watch. both were great tho. the plot twist at the end of this was also f\*\*\*ing insane. probably my favourite plot twist this whole season bar none. i definitely did not see that s\*\*\* coming but when it happened i was like omg

Loch henry (episode 2)
this was also a really good episode because of how great the performances were from each actor/actress and how the plot twist at the end f\*\*\*ed with my head. i'd just say it felt a bit mundane by black mirror standards.

Joan is awful (episode 1)
this episode was really cool and Salma Hayek was great in this. real funny "shit". also second best plot twist of the season. it's not that high because for me it felt too comedy oriented and didn't bring enough tension in the story

Mazey day (episode 4)
this one was pretty forgettable for me. if the season was comprised purely of episodes like this i'd say its quality would be lacking.
