@kingpin i think because the point is not only being shared by the person in the video, but in the context of the tweets is about her being ur and the criticism surrounding her and her intent, people think this convo is about that.

If it’s only about what she said I think we’ve had this convo a lot but it’s fine to have again, and maybe something less inflammatory because of the messenger (regardless of intention) would’ve sufficed for a more focused convo

I think it's more that I look at the bigger picture where if these non Black people are supporting us against Black people who hate their own kind, aye good for them. I ain't about to start praising them for doing the bare minimum. They have my support in not allowing self hating coons to get away with hating Black men and women, but that's about it. I support people who are against hate. As anyone who is against hate should do.

I guess one also has to look at this this way. Why would a Black man who hates Black women and chases after white women care about what a Black woman has to say about them?

Being an ally to people of color means standing up against racism of all kinds, including internalized racism. Now does that mean they have to get praised for it? Absolutely not. They are doing the bare minimum. You don't applaud the fish for swimming. Doesn't make them wrong for calling it out.
