Discussion 1: VOTING
The definition for voting on a google states three definitions
- give or register a vote.
- cause (someone) to gain or lose a particular post or honor by means of a vote.
- used to express a wish to follow a particular course of action.
The bold is the most important. We give demands to a politician for us ( or the politician comes to us with our demands).
In modern day, voting in the black community used to undeniable voting for one for one side. Having 80%+ voting for democrats is undeniably determental to our progress in America. Democrats are just as complicit, if not more active enacting WS as Republicans. The Ballot or The bullet
In order to properly have an agenda for us, we must actively ask for concessions before the election. Look at the bold third definition, voting is used to express a wish to follow a particular course of action. It's not good for folks to shrill them for Democrats like Biden in the election just cause. Yes, (using Biden for example) voting for this person may help me get healthcare, or anything else that also helps the general population. However, voting for Democrat or Democrat is not going to help black people directly.

Perhaps the " no tangibles no vote" group has a point regardless of the perhaps immaturity of method. When black people stated they need tangibles to vote for someone, if forced every candidate on the Democratic stage to explicitly mention tangibles for blacks, including repatriations. After it was between Trump and Biden, the talk for such tangibles decreased immensely.
To end this (this isn't suppose to be a Kanye style rant, but a presentation to a beginning of discussion), is the democrats truly the lesser evil for black people. Is hoping and praying that democrats will do something for us after the fact a good strategy ?Should black people just stop voting to a make a point? And more questions that I have yet fought about.

Personally if black Americans choose to vote right now it should be for the democrats but the lesser of two evils s*** bugs me. We shouldn’t be forced to eat s*** regardless of how much they care about us.
What black Americans should do is build economic power and start voting independent for the time being to force a side to start to care about our issues. Look how much Latino people get pandered to just because of how many of them there are. We have to face the fact that black Americans will never have those #s so we have to do what the Asians and Jews did and focus on economics

Yeah that's why imo I try not to substitute African with Black, AAs are Black people as well, they've always been Black.
This isn't scientific or anything but Aboriginal Australians also have a very deep connection with the rest of us (ppl of Black African descent) and view us as family. They know they left Africa millenias ago but it's still apart of their cultures. They even have a BLM chapter. Always been racialized as Black.

Your no longer securing a vote just because the previous generation did it. I stand with the people that choose with hold votes for tangibles. But something I realized is you have to watch out for are these paid for celebrities that’s online endorsing these candidates. They outright shaming people for asking for tangibles for a vote. I told my mans there is a new emergence of Democrat coons coming up to match the republican coons. People like Jemele Hill, Joy reed, Obama and more. I hope our people don't get caught up in that

I’m working w the commissioner of my city on a project. I have no clue who she is outside of she’s a sista. I’m unsure of what to ask or converse with but it would be ideal to leave a positive and lasting impression on her.
