I don’t like thinking like this, but it’s videos and like in OP that make you think about the “woke” rappers that are probably doing s*** like this too
he was speaking to these particular women
thug has a black girlfriend all his kids are fully black and largely only hangs around black people this isn’t the guy this card can be played with
Like imagine at the next big event or whatever Kendrick does this s***
kendrick has been at the grammys before and they said this is every year so unless they have a video of him it’s safe to assume every rapper does it

Did you use the black friends logic
I hope at the very least this goes viral and forces black artists' hand to stop for these black journalists
Even if it'll be disingenuous and guilt ridden I hope it sets a precedent
If it goes viral that is
Alright then to your post I'd say that be fine if these same no name niggas wasn't b****ing about how the black community should support rappers more and doing Roc Nation brunches talking about the community but the only community they support is the already rich.
Niggas wanna make it seem deeper then clout when it's they pockets needing fattening but ignore the little guys around them.
It's cornball s*** no matter how you play it.
I understand what your saying about the virtue signaling part but it seems more of a status issue. It reminds me of that kanye interview when he mentions classicism as more impactful than racism in the music industry. but racism and classicism are connected so i guess there's truth to both
Just so you know @mctate we already get how it works the issue is if you're in your music asking for black support,on social media doing it and in general promoting that then the size of the black business shouldn't be relevant you should be doing what you're asking for and helping build those companies up.
We get the business half the issue here is the black community part of it and that part is the part you aren't apart of so you won't understand.
Hence why you're tryna explain the business half not getting that we not taking about that ITT we talking about the idea that rich black expect us to support them while not sharing or building up.
But then wouldn’t it take the artists just to answer one question in the first place to empower and give them clout? it’s that simple and it’s free
true. its a bit of a catch 22.
the only black media gunna ever talked to
Young thug called Black women peasants and yall were cheering
You'd do the same thing if they was finna make you miss a $150,000 show
kendrick has been at the grammys before and they said this is every year so unless they have a video of him it’s safe to assume every rapper does it
it can’t be true
Did you use the black friends logic
no.
you are blatantly missing the point
i’m saying there’s tons of rappers who get rich and have white bms and hang out with white people and if they said this it’s a problem
young thug has shown to be still apart of the black community as much as you can be while being a rapper
You'd do the same thing if they was finna make you miss a $150,000 show
I'd call a black woman peasant? Hell no.
Yall either cacs in disguise or no better than the blacks at the grammys tbh

I'll say it I ain't seen Diddy,Ye,HOV or TI or Nas do an interview with a black media outlet in years if ever tbh.
HOV did his Superbowl interview with the NewYorker, Ye always do Vogue and Diddy only bigs his s*** up.
That's not cancelling these people neither or me tryna trash them because I wanna acknowledge nobody perfect.
Also all of them besides these hiccups or issues still do alot for people from justice reform to legislation passing to Diddy opening multiple schools in Harlem.
Niggas doing alot but this is an area they should improve on.

it can’t be true
Don't worry dawg Halle Berry apparently ran to them when her publicist told her not too here's the journalist talking about what it meant for her

Our Queen truly a winner

these ppl are on the red carpet getting yelled and pulled from all different types of directions. i understand what youre saying but if you never been in the situation how do you "already get how it works" ?
also i dont see quavo and gucci being the ppl who are really championing for these things youre speaking of
whatever though im not even supposed to be in this thread
