We know it only sold 140k copies on ps5 and less than 1m on Xbox, a few million on steam. Again, basically veilguard numbers.

My point is that this shouldn’t mean Microsoft shutting down Bethesda lol, just like ea shouldn’t have shut down BioWare over veilguard

Veilguard sold 12 copies and I was one of them

15 million players according to google. Hard to gauge how much revenue that is when probably 3/4 or more played on game pass. Google says about 4.5m copies sold

Andromeda failed, anthem failed, dragon ages failed. That’s 3 failures in like a decade or so that’s why they got shut down. Also for not having anything to show for with mass effect.

Like I said the studio itself has no value and probably lack of talent or direction. The only value is in the IPs. Maybe EA will take other studios with continuing the dev or sell off the IP if they get the right price.

I’m certain one day we’ll see something from the mass effect IP it still has value. Unfortunately it’s probably a decade away.

Their problems (arguably) began with ME2. They diluted the RPG elements of the first game and turned it into a cover shooter with a dialogue tree/narrative choices

I’ve never played a single DA game, but i remember people hating on DA2 for having repetitive dungeons, simplified combat, and a general lack of polish

You probably know about the hate ME3 got because of its ending (+ other narrative decisions), but it also suffered from other EA related bs such as forced MP participation (to get the “best” ending) and on-disc DLC
