They’re really trying to police AAVE it’s disgusting

I guarantee you that 99.9% of African-Americans had no idea that spaz was a slur in the UK

freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consequence lol

When the consequence is policing what words everyone can and can’t say (especially words that have been used in a non-derogatory manner in the African-American community for literal decades), that is, in fact, killing freedom of speech

    Drake wrote that right?

It’s obvious the parts drake wrote and it was not the rap lol

Always interesting to me when people can’t easily tell co writing. Even the Quentin Miller tracks it was obvious the parts Drake wrote to me

Don’t Google what British people call cigarettes

Americans have this idea we all call it this but in reality you never really hear it used lol. Not because of outrage it just isn’t popular in most demographics

no one said you can’t use them. they said you shouldn’t use them. also all that happened is she had to change one stinking lyric and that doesn’t affect you. it’s her choice to do that or her choice to not do that keep saying spaz if you want who’s stopping you rn

Lizzo and Beyoncé feeling pressured and backed into altering their already released art is literally telling people you can’t use that word.

Same way black people tell white people “you can’t say nigga”, people from the UK are telling African-Americans now that we can’t say spaz, a word that we have used in a non-derogatory way for decades upon decades

We aren’t telling them to stop refereing to cigarettes as f*gs, so they shouldn’t be telling us to stop using spaz

    Backlash from who?

I’ve literally heard no one complain about this. It’s not like she got that white audience on her back like Lizzo.
