It's always been this way, just that the substance of the arguments have changed. Culture wars and social issues to distract from class. The rich always wants us to fight over stupid stuff. There are people who think pushing for more actors of a different ethnic groups in Marvel movies constitutes as activism. And since there are only so many hours in a day, these activists have less time for other issues. In the 80s it used to be stuff like Satanic panic, now it's this stuff.
