The rollout for the physicals is borderline amateurish and ridiculous atp. She sold the „limited edition“ on her website, just to ship this not so limited version to all retailers, which has a completely different cover, name and misses a few tracks compared to what can be found on streaming platforms. Like wtf happened in the last few weeks before release?

This gonna sound wild and left field but f*** it.. it just dawned on me that Jay really is behind every move of Beyoncé’s career and has been forever. I’ve always suspected/and was basically convinced he was but this country album threw me off and I couldn’t find the common thread (aside from her roots in the south) until..

I Just remembered he produced the harder they fall

And is behind the whole black cowboy resurgence of year’s past. He uses Beyoncé as a way to puppeteer black culture at his command.

I believe it’s his way of mending some old wounds of the black community and attempts to give it back a sense of pride and unity through culture even if only on a subconscious level.

The further we get from our roots, the easier it is for them to erase us from the history books and discredit our involvement in the earliest days of country music and rock alike. Through this album, we’re faced with the fact that we practically are American music culture itself and thereby damn near the lifeblood of music globally

And it’s a damn good commodity, and we know how much Jay loves the dough.. more than you know

The album bored me. And Renaissance might be my album of the decade.
