rvicant really speak in much detail on the mixing/mastering part but overall the sound is very different to what you would hear on basically any country album (mainstream or not). this album largely country pop but even compared to other country pop like Morgan Wallen it's coming at almost every element from an entirely different angle
there definitely is a lot of polished, slick and "big" sounding mainstream country tho but it doesnt feel like this
i thought so. it would be very funny if beyonce creates a new genre specifically from the audio engineering of this album, and people keep calling it country leaving actual country listeners fuming

i would definitely love it if we got more music in this fresh blend of country/soul/folk/r&b/pop. tbf there are already some others doing it somewhat similarly she might have took some inspiration from
kinda thinking it might be part of overall trend of a bit more rootsy music in the cultural zeitgeist. whether its country, folk pop stuff like Noah Kahan, singer/songwriter like Lana etc. partially a reaction to some more synthetic sounds we saw in the 2010s era
