Paul McCartney wrote Blackbird about black women and was basically his love song to them.

Daughters caro mio ben really mind f***ed me. This was the first song i learned for my classical solos.

Halfway through. Album is kind of all over the place, and Country purists are gonna be hella annoyed she doesn’t 100% commit to Country all the way. But me personally I’m relieved. I’m not a fan of Country, so to see her mix it with Folk, Rock, Pop and R&B is a relief to me. Way more digestible that way.

Gotta give her props for being one of those artists who refuses to let the “album” as an idea and experience die. I’m grateful that artists and labels will still put out albums despite the nauseating push for single based releases.
