"After a year of meteoric success, he quit the band due to an ironic fear of flying, and contention within the band over the fact that Gene was the only one making rock star money with those songwriting royalties. He blessed the band once more before leaving by casually tossing off the lyrics and idea (Coltrane jazz-rock) for Eight Miles High, one of the very first psychedelic songs, and The Byrds most legendary achievement.
Byrds stans know the RCA studios version that got vaulted is superior to the stiffer single/album version;"

Keith Relf the only singer they ever had
figured you'd know this
honestly haven't listened to much of the yardbirds at all...just never got around to it
good starting point?

he's gonna tell you Five Live Yardbirds but honestly I'd just listen to their string of singles starting with For Your Love up until Happenings Ten Years Time Ago. and after that just listen to everything from the beginning until Beck left
i dont stan the Roger the Engineer album like he does tho theyre definitely a band i think of in terms of their godly singles vs. albums. Having a Rave Up With The Yardbirds isnt even a real album either since its just half live tracks released earlier
also when i first heard how genius the beatles were but only knew them as the "She Loves You yeah yeah yeah" guys it was definitely this video that had me
after Sgt Pepper was a little too confectionary for my ears at the time
amazing art style predates gilliam i guess
so many beatles songs I catch myself saying overrated instead of overplayed. Eleanor Rigby is a masterpiece, definitely a psychedelic/otherworldy feel to it that makes it stick it out in their discog
i dont know why he said '65 in the first place because he definitely wrote off anything before '67 at one point
still never seen the receipts for this claim

Oh you claimed it
I know because I had a specifically logged in my head that you wrote off everything pre velvets

Will try to expand to 20+ for every year after this. There's a few albums with songs I didn't include due to not listening for a while and didn't want to force a larger list. Also, yea, never been a B-Side or non-album singles guy, so I'm completely out of the blue for that kind of stuff
what zee german say
says the sting arrangement fails to accomplish its goal or something
the cello is off a quarter metre or something
So how long do y’all take discussing each year? A week or like monthly?
