anything off blonde on blonde is a contender

probably the last year where Dylan could easily dominate the whole year as a solo artist until 1975

    Big year for album covers

really tho, like I'm not one to put albums on the wall or mantle piece but with jazz joints probably the only genre where I can pick by cover and find a gem.

first time hearing this, f***ing great

Did you ever hear this neglected trailblazer?

@rvi Light My Fire recorded in f***in August '66 not released till January '67

I would have been seething if I was them

Feels like we should have gotten the first Pink Floyd single in '66 as well if we're getting the first Hendrix and Velvets

Alternatively it's crazy how much Love progressed in this one year span debut sounds almost like '65 but De Capo sounds more like '67

Love with a masterful double sided single these guys were the kings of Los Angeles when the Byds were out of town and Arthur Lee was the first black hippie and a huge influence on Hendrix's style and committment to rock and roll.

yeah doors debut the first classic of 1967 but it is kinda weird how they didnt release a single before it came out for some reason

just realizing i have an Interstellar Overdrive live version tagged as 1966 in my library but doing some research i think its actually january 1967

this one seems to be actually 1966 though

nothing, im not really too into live doors though tbh

heard a little bit but nothing made me want to listen over the studio version. doesnt have the improvisation aspect as much like early Floyd or Jimi and also i didnt like the bass player-less sound

What would Dylan have sounded like in '66 if Bloomfield didnt decide to tour/record with Butterfield instead only reason The Band got the job
