Crossings is solid but I dont think his fusion stuff reached the height of his mid 60s post-bop opuses again until Sextant/head Hunters

i guess not all was perfect in the glam world

i havent peeped. i know its got a mid reputation and i dont even like his supposed classics like Billion Dollar Babies that much. its also got a "show tunes" secondary genre listed on RYM that scares the s*** out of me if its accurate

I don't really consider him glam, especially since he's not Brit. Billion Dollar Babies goes hard imo but the School's Out album is pretty lame.

always thought of him has hard rocker mostly but still pretty glam. influence on glam metal too at least and he totally became a glam metaller for a bit in the 80s/90s kinda like how Kiss did

you consider Sparks glam though? surely a lot of Kiss too?

Nah art rock. I guess New York Dolls are the only American band I've ever kind of considered glam rock and I'm not really a fan.

kinda interesting how glam rock was more of a brit thing and then glam metal was more of an american thing

Rocka Rolla = hard rock
Sad Wings and Sin After Sin = heavy metal still with a good amount of hard rock
Stained Class = pure heavy metal
