I checked it out it's not great but I don't think that counts. Their spirit obviously died when buddy did whether or not they decided to try and carry on working off the name.
I can’t wait until this thread gets to punk and synth pop
I can't wait till we get through these couple downer years to glam rock 💅
Thread has increase my respek for early Bolan dramatically. Found some absolute Tyrannosaurus Gems.
i have not heard;
Arcadium
Aorta
Goldenrod
Emporium
TIME
id recommend Aorta for sure then Music Emporium and TIME the most to you. Arcadium might be a bit too proggy and the all instrumental Goldenroad might be a bit too jammy and Dead wannabe
Aorta is a real gem honestly. this is sounding like a classic to me

Music Emporium is nice keyboard heavy male+female vocal combo, kinda eclectic

TIME is truly searing acid guitar, hard and sometimes bluesy

Goldenrod is wanky af. skilled session players and not random garage kids. bassist joined Elvis' band from 1969-1973, also played on LA Woman

Arcadium just a perfect example of psych prog

How doesn't it?
og hendrix experience lasted like 3 years then he brought it back for another half year just without Redding
Id take Buffalo Springfield over Cream Any. Day.
thats fine but impact wise is not a debate
am i checking out these or the jazz recs

i didnt expect you to check all the jazz recs rn, some are pretty long and out there. id just listen to the Aorta one now for sure and then whatever you feel more in the mood for

Hey Joe came out December '66 and Ladyland came out October '68
their window of actual music releases was not even 2 years
I can't wait till we get through these couple downer years to glam rock 💅

U like that Sweet song? Fox on the Run?
Hey Joe came out December '66 and Ladyland came out October '68
their window of actual music releases was not even 2 years
the band still existed
the live performances in late 68 and the first half of 1969 are an essential part of Hendrix story as well as some worthy studio stuff
I can't wait till we get through these couple downer years to glam rock 💅
