My baby just gave me a kiss

his voice fits the style pretty well and its also always good to see a rare country singer-pianist
i did wonder if he got any less Nashville-ified cuz i remember there being some slightly annoying backing vocals etc.
@rvi anybody you dont recognize?

Never even heard of Fred or Bubbard lol thought you'd b**** about Zappa or The Possum if anything.

zappa was just at his start in 67 so i would have never expected him on there
Genius sometimes
"This song is about a botched lobotomy on a transsexual woman"
i never quite put that together tbh but i was almost there

Sister Ray was partly named after a drag queen but also Ray Davies maybe
the irony of naming that song after the biggest teetotaler this side of zappa
the zenith of soul/r&b for me pretty sure @twinkletoez
