Cool song. I'm not really familiar but I know them from that Truckers, Kickers, Cowboy Angels series.

They had a folk rock hit before the byrds and continued to release classic music through all the phases of the 60s along with everybody else. one of the most underrated bands of the decade

Yeah, you summed it up on that thread. People still talking as if TVU are still underrated meanwhile there's some great dollar bin records by people like these guys, Doug Sahm, Jerry Jeff Walker, Guy Clark or some forgotten Capitol album that hardly ever gets any attention to this day.
Even Gene is still severely unappreciated in my books...
thats your favourite off there right?
Nah i think Frozen Warnings is tbh

Yeah the climax it starts building toward at 1:30
so life affirming
As life affirming as this monster Beatle banger
!https://youtu.be/M4vbJQ-MrKoyou ever heard this band? its too bad none of their stuff got released back in the day. very very heavy stuff for 1968

brutal chauvinist songs were pretty in fashion in the mid 60s (Jagger, Lennon, Dylan) but by '68 salty manlet Paul just sounds like he's mansplaining

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiG_1J05b2YPotent solo
almost Beck tier scorch
George finally writes something timeless and is one of the biggest steps toward "classic rock" for the whole genre
really want to hear an edit with Prince's solo added on tbh

Lennon doing Yer Blues with Keef on bass, Mitchell on Drums, Clapton playing lead and Yoko wearing the pillow case
some ridiculous supergroup footage

Watchtower got to be a legit contender.
Bob when he first heard the Hendrix version was probably like
Honorary Mentions:
Sunshine Of Your Love
Son Of A Preacher Man
Say A Little Prayer
Sister Ray
Blackbird
Sexy Sadie
The Rolling Stones filmed their own "Rock & Roll Circus" with some guests like Taj Mahal and Jethro Tull (and that performance above) and did a decent performance of their new little song Sympathy for the Devil (plus some other Beggars Banquet stuff) but the footage got buried for decades and it's rumoured to be because they got f***in renegaded by The Who at their own taping
I can see it tbh

Of course
Jimi has at least 3 contenders. Have you heard Astral Weeks yet tho? Equal to but on the opposite spectrum of Hendrix's transcendence.
