Cherkasov couldn't act his way out of a box but good ass movie anyway. Lotta classic scenes in that jawn like Ivan taking the cup from his aunt.

also I lunched on The Uninvited but imma try again this week.

Yeah hes not great but that auntie is diabolical. Incredibly striking film, love the sets and costumes.

We knew Bergman made his screenwriting debut this year with Torment but did we know David Lean did as well with This Happy Breed

@Elric what do you think of the universal frankensteins after Son? I slept hard on these. Lon Chaney really the emotional core of the later films.

I know youre on your Roy Rogers s*** but you should check this out too. one of the few great Wayne westerns between Stagecoach and his big comeback in 1948 when Fort Apache/Red River/3 Godfathers came out

this was mad decent. phenomenal mid-career performance by Lugosi. preachy religious s*** near the end kept me from liking it a lot more tho.

Yeah it wasn't perfect but still definitely worth a watch
