Not done with re-read but i remember enough what happened prior to these chapters to read them.
Impressions are positive, i was not expecting them to match miura and they didnt, so there was no way for me to be disappointed. The art for the most part was still amazing even if not miura, i loved the lack of proper dialogue, giving the scenes a lot of tension and letting visual storytelling say it all, particularly the expression, which convey the characters' emotions almost perfectly id say. Chapters had break neck speed pacing, which matches mouri's words on how they are planning on continuing the story; there wont be any personal additions, only things he remembers miura telling him, which is great imo. There were a lot of double spreads lol, and the paneling is really the one thing that will be noticeably too different, imo for the worse, but that's a standard too hard to reach so im not hating on studio gaga. At times paneling felt confusing ngl, and at times kinda ugly.
The character designs here are less "moe" for lack of a better term than in 364, face proportions are closer to miura's, caska doesnt look like a doll, griffith has slightly smaller eyes. Zodd i think was the only real miss of these chapters, he doesnt look that detailed, not only compared to miura's, but to the other characters in these 2 chapters. They did a great job overall, but they f\*\*\*ed up with him. I hope and honestly expect them to get better at presenting him, i remember spending whole minutes looking at all the lines miura would draw to make zodd as complete and realistic as possible. The muscles, facial structure and fur were so defined you felt you could touch them, and that was lost here. But i loved his entrance regardless, well executed imo. Final thoughts, its clearly a passion project, and while yes shogakukan is ultimately making money off this, mouri and studio gaga are trying their best to honour miura, and that's enough for me. I think they did a great job, they got some big ass shoes to fill.

Amazing chapter. I can tell Miura was really into spirituality and the occult. The collective consciousness of humans manifesting their own Gods and the magic with schierke and Flora. You can tell he really researched this stuff. These are all concepts I actually believe in so its cool to see. I also fw the dynamic of Grifiith being the chosen one by God while Guts and Casca are the damned sacrifices

He’s out now and I got him the next compendium (#4) book for last Christmas 🙏

My thoughts on the continuation. I also had my expectations in check of course because there is only one Miura. However the team did seem to put their best effort which I appreciate and atleast look forward to knowing how the story was meant to conclude. New chapter this week I believe
