He's white, he just took it and had the whole industry back him

Run dmc, public enemy were touring Europe before Eminem was thought of
Wutang clan toured Japan before Eminem hit the scene as well...
Not to mention hip hop hitting other cities like Paris and london who developed their own scenes in the 80s/90s following US rap blueprint... But I'm supposed to ascribe all the merit for hip hop being global to eminem???

If you're talking about making rap more welcoming to white rappers you might have a case but then you'd have to look at how this industry still favors white anything over others (macklmore 2015 grammy wi'is over kendrick for example but there are many more)

This is like being proud of gentrified neighborhoods cuz they're whiter now...

Where is this cultural barrier breaking going to happen in reverse, at like the country music sector for example...

You think they'll uphold a black singer as the GOAT then claim that cultural barriers were broken?? Or will they push any attempt to the side like they have been doing for decades (despite country being origanally a black artform iirc)

give me a break, white rappers don't need respect from anyone, vanilla ice sold plenty without much respect and best believe that the labels caught on to that

• people that went to high school with em said he was always with kim,

• em said himself in a Howard stern interview he was always with kim and went to a predominantly white high school

• the description of that girl doesn't fit what black girls from that era looked like :description from the song "yellow brick road"

All we have to do is get a yearbook and see there was no such black girl at his school... + alot of black women who lived the 80s spoke out saying no one did that in the 80s (wearing blue eye contacts)

That girl would've stood out to the point people would've remembered her but no....

Proof wasn’t no. Soul Intent was Cha Kid, Mannix and Butterfingers.

And he moved from Missouri and Michigan as a kid and since he was 8/9 he was p much in Detroit.

Calling him from the south is like calling Pac from New York but you know KTT2
