I don't mind it when it's older albums, for some reason, it's just the new stuff

I feel you but the real reason is the “new youth” is a de-evolution of humanity. They’re not human, they’re the first cyborgs

I think it's moreso u just don't like the new stuff than it is an age thing

I don't really care about that, I still listen to Dr. Dre

What about the content of the music? Can you easily relate to an artist from a newer generation than you?

Depends on the artist, depends on the content

Relatability is only one of many qualities that connects audience to artist (and their work)

If I can’t relate I can still enjoy someone speaking their truth and sharing their perspective if it’s presented in an engaging package.

Personally i think the opposite is true where art is one of the more likely things to connect individuals with different life perspectives and experiences.

Yeah music/society is just worse now and they’re gonna use the “every generation thinks that” excuse to gaslight us as the world goes to s***

    Ask Melz

Age means literally zero to me unless they're egregiously not "acting their age"

Anyways shout out Kenny Mason, Ray Vaughn and Ovrkast as younger artists I enjoy of this decade in Rap - even more in other genres

Edit: Ray is a few months older than me but whatever same thing

  • Apr 25, 2025

    Wait a minute

Kenny Mason is 30 years old on Google wtf

  • Apr 25, 2025

Nevermind op might be onto sumn I apologize

  • Apr 25, 2025

N Ovrkast just a lil younger, guess I'm not as old as I think

I thot they were all like 23 to 26

  • Apr 25, 2025

Young age in music is really a myth wow
