Strange as in what ? Whenever Batman drops they aren’t doing origin . Clayface will help show the Gotham Batman will be in . They could even use clayface to reveal who is playing Batman , set tone , hint at other villains . We’ve seen Batman so many times seeing one of his fantastical villains who loses his sense of humanity could be beautiful

I think they could do a lot of cool things with it which will make it even better when we see clayface show up in Batman dcu . The issue with many hero movies is villain is like power rangers only gets one movie of development then killed or imprisoned til writers feel like it again
