EmotionAnyone who actually thought Gunn was gonna save DCU is a moron. Guy made some decent flicks in the GOTG movies and has been trying to replicate that success ever since. All he has done since then is give his wife bigger roles in his projects
By the time supergirl is out and the Netflix WB deal goes through he'll step down and Netflix will reboot once more

Like Superman is arguably the biggest IP and most easily recognizable super hero of all time and you could only do $400m more than the budget? Even with the whole weird Israel/Palestine allegory
