I dont know what Resident Evil game you played that tried that desperately to be funny filled with abhorrently dumb characters but I have never played that one

I explained my point and all you said was I got a stick up my ass

That’s not even disagreeing. That’s just you being a pretentious and petulant little child who can’t stand on s*** so you gotta insult me to feel good about your lack of brain cells

    Stick’s still there I see

You think the writing in this movie dialogue wise and jokes wise at the times it delivers them takes nothing away from the moments or movie in a whole. Which is perfectly fine but others disagree the end

    there is nothing to argue
You make it an argument by calling it nitpicking

this cycle of "youre nitipicking" which many of us respond "youre nuthugging" cant go on forever lol

I know resident evil games are very campy but the humor is moreso with how anti climactic the line deliveries are or how matter of fact and campy characters behave. The games never have this kind of “fuck”, “shit”, “why the f\*\*\* is the car I just shot not working!!!” kind of humor. There’s a few bits here where I think the humor captures the games a bit like with the doctors or the “fucking monsters” awkward line delivery but for the most part, this is just insincere mockery of the horror going on to wink at the audience

There is a difference with playing every scenario straight or trying to be ironic. The Resident Evil games play every scenario straight out no matter how goofy it is. They take themselves serious which is why it evokes humor.
Resident Evil movie is a different thing. The humor is more the American typical Hollywood thing. Not really MCU but not that far off

  • Sep 20

again glad it worked for many

I mentioned first moment many of the dialogue lines to self feel like "hey chat" would come at beginning or "what do you think chat should i " would come at the end

as someone who doesnt watch streams it kind of stood out and at times was offputting

but others loved it thats dope and I get creggers goal

Where the game would say some s*** like " I guess I am my own worst enemy " or "I guess I will get my step goal in today"

he will dumb down the audience exposition like the audience really cant piece things together at all.

    Ethan Winters says hello

The difference is winters says all that s*** with conviction. He’s not winking to the audience like Abrams is. Abrams tries to be as pathetic as he possibly can to make the audience laugh.

He thinks he’s the only one who is right

in every instance. He ironically could learn a lot about the themes of growing up

  • Honestly the closest Abrams ever came to Winters in this whole movie is when he sees the two dead zombies entrails mixing and goes “interesting”

    That was genuinely very funny

Abrams is just more neurotic of a character, but their reactions to the s*** they witness are pretty damn similar
