you have no idea of your own that you state. You rather leech off others saying something about how a piece of art made them feel to say "nuh uh " "what did you expect" "no emotoinal story" even when multiple reviews and countless others mention these things

People can and do give you direct examples of jokes, writing or elements that didnt work for them. While also mentioning elements that did work for them. While making clear its not dogshit and they are glad its made and glad people love it

Yet you will still be dismisssive of what they are saying because for some reason it makes you feel good about yourself

Again, nobody cares if the elements of the movie did not work for you

What I’m pushing back against is a misrepresentation of what those elements are

boiler plate thoughts of "its good its bad" without actually discussing the elements of the movie and what worked and didnt work from it is not something I care about. I dont care about number or star reviews or rather than talking about what you enjoy from the movie you rather spend a lot of time specifically responding to other users saying they are wrong or invalidate their opinion.

You notice when people like the movie or think its great I am not like "nuh uh I didn't like it " . In fact I bounce off what they said with some interesting ideas and hold a good faith discussion with them. If someone thinks this is their movie of the year, horror movie of the year. Is a great movie that needed to be called resident evil or Creggers best I walk through to undrestand their perpsective even if I have my issues with the movie

but when you get to certain levels of gibberish of " movie had no emotional goals and why would you desire that" or "characters wre supposed to be dumb" well yes I know all that but what worked for you may not have worked for others. Which I have now explained for over 24-48 hours

Yet still you continue. Its like talking to an absolute brick wall. You are again like this with MULTIPLE pieces of art. Every single time.

If you are like this every single time at a certain point you have to reflect. Am I too involved with defending a piece of media when if I love it I shouldnt care what strangers on the internet think about it

Condom Eyes problem is he ignores posts and then act like they don’t exist

Pacing in the midsection of the film. I would’ve liked it to be a little longer. I don’t think some sections were as scary as others. Would’ve been nice to see an actual long battle with one monster of some kind. The ending feels a bit abrupt.

I am not just asking what you liked about a movie. I am not asking you to force negativity about a movie. i am asking what didnt work for you?

When we discuss art many of us dont discuss it as perfect. If you choose to discuss art as perfect and cant discuss "man for me this could have been better or this part lacked for me stopping it from reaching a higher level"

The first thing I said after I left this movie is I wish I liked it more

we said many of those same exact things and additional elements. You choose to invalidate certain things we said but the things that you agreed on you didn't say "well actually " .

If you dont see how that in itself is stupid I dont know what to tell you

Yes but some of you also feel like you HAVE to nitpick and find issue with every piece of art you experience, and will weigh those nitpicks heavier than the actual good stuff that worked for you in order to seem like you have a critical take

Just because the humor isn’t EXACTLY the same as the mcu jokes doesn’t mean that every joke here isnt made to wink to the audience. Cregger doesn’t want the audience to actually be immersed and believe the horror of what he’s created so he has this annoying ass dude freaking out every second and always needing to try to be funny every moment because Cregger clearly doesn’t believe in the effectiveness of his scares and so wants the main character to be “in on the joke”. That’s standard mcu humor. Not being able to stand on what you’ve created so having your characters mock it so that everyone can be like “oh haha this is purposefully s***!”

No, the only critiques I’ve pushed back on ITT are:

1. The comedy is forced

2. There is a lack of emotional weight to the story

3. There is too much comedy and the movie doesn’t take itself seriously

what is a "nitpick " to you is enough for Raisie to walk out and ask for a refund. Its enough to bring us out of a movie and even on a shorter movie be thinkking to ourselves "aight wrap this s*** up you had me in the first half".

You view something as a nitpick but recongnize that man drove to a theater just like you did cleared schedule. Saw it after a long day of work after a long week. Saw it hoping after seeing reviews it would absolutely slap.

I wasnt expecting no humor. I even said "nah Raisie you got to be wyling no way its that bad in the first 45 minutes"

The first 45 minutes was okay but again I do fully understand how someone could say "aight this isnt for me I am out"

Yeah Cregger’s d*** is so far up my ass I don’t even think this is his best movie, and none of his movies I rate higher than an 8/10
