I was being facetious about someone killing him haha. Probably just needs to take a metal bat to his knees or something. Let him keep his life tho

the reviews on this are so mixed i’m lost. @mjpplus what did you think? it’s like before coming out this was getting nothing but praise ???

You mean like every critically acclaimed horror movie ever made in recent times?

They’re all polarizing to some extent outside of maybe Get Out.

Hell, it currently has a 92% audience rating and a pretty high user rating on MC, despite the backlash before release.

I’ve even heard people at work talking about it telling other people to check it out.

Smh. Well at least he thinks the first one is good. Real ones know all PWSA films are dope

I like most of them cause theyre so over the top and unserious. The one in the desert gave me a f***in seizure tho lol

  • Movie now looking like it might hit $65 million+ domestic OW.

Going by the audience reaction it looks like it might get an A- Cinemascore which means it should have some good legs, especially going into October.

Cregger can't open a movie Iike this

  • Fun movie, didn't go in with any expectations and enjoyed myself. My girl's a big Resident Evil fan and she liked it too for what it was. Way more humor than I expected

  • Weapons
    Resident Evil
    Barbarian

I like how the subtext of family and fatherhood rears its head throughout the movie.

    • The childless farm couple.
    • The child in the RV, who is also the one that infects him
    • The Tumbleweed monster that’s constantly expanding in size and chasing Bryan down which could be read into as a metaphor for his growing responsibility.
    • The Maternity Ward

Hell, even the monster in the sewers which kind of gives birth to those rats.

Cregger definitely loaded some personal anxieties into this one.

  • More I ruminate about this the more I like it. Really think it being a resident evil movie elevated a lot of aspects of it

    • Characters being so stupid when it would often be a better story if they were smart and yet some how other humans they encountered or infected pushed their will to keep going
-The Action character that was a professional does the absolute dumbest thing in the movie or up there
    • movie would benefit from him being with humans more. The game feeling could still be accomplished with a bit more time with other humans. Felt like they were afraid to do so because they wanted it to entirely feel like a single player game and progression Which i get in some regard because he is so indepedent and not ready to settle down with Michelle and child
-Movie oculd really use a boss battle type moment yes it has the elevator with acid and using the other zombies to knock him down. But feels like a full sequence or a human /mutated villain who used the hyper mutation to his or her advantage. The villain was humanity's clumsiness and incomptence to the point they door dashed the cure rather than send national guard military or the hired guns

There was just many messy things . Wonder if he or anyone will ever touch on the universe again.

When she exits with the car keys to save a random woman only to get absolutely killed quick I was so baffled
