_StringerI liked the comedy horror aspect of weapons a lot. Wish he kept them in.
It’s still there, it’s gonna be similar to Weapons where the humor is situational as opposed to out and out “jokes”.
Like for example, there’s a moment in the film where the main character Bryan has to shoot a padlock to get into a building, but since he’s essentially just a regular guy with no firearm experience he misses the shot entirely even though he’s legit like a couple feet away from the door.

Doesn’t even make sense to say it can’t be Resident Evil without the core cast when Outbreak 1&2 exist.

In other interviews, he said he went through the same joke-trimming process with Barbarian and Weapons, so this is just part of how he edits down movies. His last two were the versions with their jokes cut down, so I imagine this will be benefiting from a similar balance. Everything anyone says ever has to be truncated and blasted out into tweets and discourse and reactions, in the full quote of what’s going around he says he did the same thing for his last two movies.
