looks really great so far tbfh. saw the ign q&a with zach and it sounds like he understands RE and I already know he understands how to make a good horror movie.

love that this takes place adjacent to game cannon because i think its uninteresting to just try and retell the game stories. i dont need live action actors for the characters i love. i need new interesting stories told through the lens of the RE lore.

after TLOU S2 im fine with live action video game movies just being set in the same universe or adjacent to canon events

I do have to be honest if you show this trailer with no title to someone years ago before this was announced I don’t know if they guess resident evil . That’s okay though he building something and future trailers will continue to do so . If the trailer felt full resident evil there wouldn’t be a 12 minute commentary of what will make the full film feel resident evil .

I think it’s okay for some gamers to be skeptical it’s just a teaser trailer . I’m in regardless I have a list currently and it looks solid s*** wish it came out sooner . Doesn’t change teaser missing some soul of franchise . Same way world war z missing entire soul of books
