Too rushed to write a rhyme
Since I was the only son, it was time to shine

Made sense to deliver and seal for a dollar sign
The figures I did to move to improve my bottom line

    A d*** connection naturally a thug's progression
To keep my faculties passionately hugged to weapon

With flaming aim, became the best in the gutter field
    From the 'ville
But I wish I had another skill

Just great. He's only on a handful of songs with production that nice too. Wish we had more like it

He kinda emulated Busta on that song wish he utilized that flow more often

I could argue confidently that Ka is the best bar for bar

Never thought I’d be this dude, but bars ain’t everything. Ka’s music isn’t accessible like Jay’s.

no one has really heard the song all of us by talib but if we're talking bars then

"i hit the schmoney dance on the coffin of a crooked cop" is up there in the all timers.

You really just have to listen to Act II to really understand this premise.

  • “We was livin' in the livin' room
Can’t wait for it to come, need to get it soon
Cousin said he gon’ get off a ki', better get in tune
By next weekend, could be eatin' with a bigger spoon
Sold raw, no more scrapin' the bottom
Brave the corner where ain't no takin' asylum
Greet all with aggression, assumin' they waitin' to rob him
Thought he was movin' solution, without equatin' the problem
When young in the flesh, hunger the best motivator
That’s word, get hurt out here if you don’t know the nomenclature
Shark slingers, only thing you couldn’t own was paper
Fam we bleed, ain't guaranteed stayin' home was safer
Masked bandit, I suggested it, what I flash demanded it
Pull solo missions, wishin' to get off mass transit
Lettin' s*** pass, that’s how you get your ass handed
All gaudy, thought he was fly, 'til he crash landed
Here cake exists only for those who take the risk
If the Lord offered, would you learn how, it take the fish?
No dandelions, I got handed irons to make a wish
Lived in hate, to the state was just another ape to frisk
Oh Was begotten and forgotten, covenant was rotten
Them days everything was grace, so we was plottin
Never cut my hand, f*** what Sam threw us out of guilt
We ain’t akh with that block of cheese and powdered milk
Graduated hard knock where there’s no diplomacy
hine, hope dimes pay attention and cops don’t notice me
After grace said, break bread, my friends ate
The cypress muddy, the cycle bloody 'til all my men straight”

That’s why they did they 1-2s with three .45s

Depression makes me sour, but it's still a feelin'
My human heart and all my senses say, "It's still appealin'"
I could be dead and gone, a brass band
The second line, I could be headin' home
And passersby may shed a tear after she read the stone

    smh jay

I’d personally argue it does, but if we talking “bar for bar,” its clearly Ka. And he’s been consistently releasing amazing albums since 2012.

It’s a beautiful f***ing album, even tho it’s unfinished. Jay Elect just needs more output before he can be given GOAT status.
