Who are experts? Guys like hov most def etc., consider jay e the goat

Im theorising but of course Hov puts Elec high up there. He’s signed to Hov. Im very sure Hov also said Vic Mensa is or will be one of the best rappers of all time during a listening party for his debut. If this debate was to reach hip hop circles, i cant see how Lupe isnt winning. Discog, impact, storytelling, lyricism & diversity in styles. But i could be wrong

Nigga, just because Jay-Z said it, it doesn't mean that's it's true, lol

Jay-Z once said that Memphis Bleek is gonna be better than him.

i was enjoying the discussion aswell but oh well

When the topic of greatest rapper comes up, ‘bar for bar’ isnt enough either. Thats redefining the argument to fit this particular artist. And even then its gonna just be overly subjective. You gotta include discog, impact, influence, longevity, lyrical ability & diversity when talking about greatest, always

I think it’s a futile point to have a de facto greatest of all time when it comes to music which is one of the most subjective things ever, but jay elect is one of the greats. I’m not gonna sit here and say the argument for ___ is not a good argument. But I guess what I’m saying is there’s a good argument for jay elect too if you listen to the music. 3000 still my personal fave then it’s mos Nas hov jay Elect ghost Rakim Q Tip in some order. I’ll put kendrick in there bc he constructs well thought out albums that I appreciate. Also it’s funny that jay elect is scoffed at for making Islamic references in his music. Kendrick was very influenced by Israelite teachings on Damn and Pimp a Butterfly. A lot of the greats have spiritual undertones in their music. So I think that’s a lazy argument.

I really like Lupe and he’s very talented but sometimes i think he gets very lyrical miracle. But on a technical ability standpoint yes there’s an argument you can make for him too. It’s just really subjective. Like Eminem is technically very great at rapping but it doesn’t hit for me.

Look at your posts itt. None of them warrant a serious response since you literally can't provide examples to back up the lies you're telling

Are you senile? I posted like 10 examples in the last thread where we talked about this, and you quoted me with some bullshit one liner lol. Also a lot of ppl already agreed with me throughout the thread. You're just a crazy stan man. PERIOD.
