All good brother, its just sad to see the s*** that happens around here on a daily basis. A couple months ago a dude was shoved in front of a train at a station i take every day. This is actually a bit of a weird outlier case, but in the majority of these situations its always someone with like 30 priors that are somehow back out on the streets. Its maddening because i love my city, cant imagine being a european tourist or something and watching this go down

Yea its awful and it needs to stop, those train tracks cases are specifically vile, its hard to imagine a way to prevent random violent outbursts like that though you know? in a situation like this though i don’t really care about the european tourist that could witness it, I’m a little more focused on how the cops handled it, they had her cornered and pretty much had a wide open easy arrest but chose to blast her instead, like the culture of cops believing theyre above the law scares me for the future

Idk the reality is these people are usually pretty identifiable. Again not in this case, but like for example there was a dude on the train yesterday cracked out of his mind, no shirt on, screaming at people to suck his d*** at 7am. Probably safe to say that guy is dangerous. But cops turn a blind eye nowadays to d****, they dont prosecute shoplifting, etc etc so we sit around and wait for that guy to kill someone before anything happens

Im pretty sure screaming at random people to suck your d*** is some kind of crime, no? i think we agree a guy like that should be dealt with for sure before anything escalates to violence, but historically the police never prevented much crime, they typically show up after it happens, and when they show up i’d prefer for them to attempt arresting before blasting

Nah just generally speaking I don’t think she posed enough of a threat to the cops to warrant multiple shots in her chest. This could be the case for anybody. Several times ive seen cops light up people who could have just been incapacitated
