If they drop an enhanced edition of this game, then itās a wrap. Every should just go home.

Clean up Act 3, flesh out some of the more rushed side quests there, flesh out the ending (including a recap of your choices and their long term impact a la Divinity: OS2), UI adjustments, bit of rebalancing of skills.
And obviously by then most of the bugs and technical issues should be sorted out.
thinking about buying. never played a crpg. is this a good one to start
Its arguably the best one to start

Really hoping they tune the ending, maybe add an epiloge. Its very abrupt and leaves alot to be desired. Not just for the characters itself like Dark Urge bad ending is just the default bad with different lines and some companions just need more.
I would also love a wrap up which is something they did in Divinity and is very common in crpgs. Where a narrator gives you a brief overview of all the things you did during your playthrough. Like what happens to the grove, did you fix the curse, what happened with raphael, mizora etc.
I see lots of people asking for that so I am confident this might get added

Iām assuming a lot of this is because of time because it doesnāt really make any sense why such things arenāt included.
First patch is apparently in the testing phase according to steam, so it should be released soon.
I assume itāll bring the game up to the state it was initially intended to be in if it had dropped on its original date. Hopefully that means most of the fixes are geared towards Act 3.

this wont be in the first patches but I think towards the end of the year we will see actual content being added.
Maybe the definitive edition dropping together with Xbox version

I donāt see a turn around happening that quickly, unless all the apparent cut content they datamined is actually intended to be implemented ASAP.
Given the complexity of the game, I wouldnāt be surprised if a ādefinitive editionā takes longer to produce than before.
Canāt see it taking less than a year.

Oh yeah I phrased that badly I mean the changes I mentioned like an epiloge or some finishing touches to some quests will drop towards the end of the year.
the definitive edition will be much later. This would align also with DOS 2 drop (altho the last act in that one was in a MUCH worse state)
WHAT THE F***
She has one of my goat moments if you play a certain character

Act 3 seems kinda messy so far yeah. Navigating the city is a pain in the ass and my FPS dropped a ton.

Apparently 56 minutes of cut ending audio that was datamined from the gameās files.
I wonder if a lot of stuff was straight up breaking right up to release, and they had little choice but to drop then and there and figure it out later.
Given the apparent number of choices and their permutations, I could easily imagine something like this f***ing up and presenting people with incompatible endings and things.

Thos sounds exactly like the epiloge slides need them soon

turn off dynamic crowds it helped for me a little. also my enemy turns process much quicker especially in the city fights
One thing they missed the mark with the companions is the feeling of the classic dnd adventurers party is lost on me. All the characters fit directly into the main plot and I dont like that.
In Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 it was natural that random adventurers would just join your party for the sake of adventures. Which opened up the game alot since every companion you let join your parry can take you to a whole new place and expands the world making it feel truly massive.
Having Jaheira and Minsc join you brought back that feeling a little bit but I just wish there was more. Clearly they wanted to focus on that group dynamic where all the characters are glued together but sadly that also makes them feel alot like Imoens.
So what builds/party comps yāall having the most fun with? Donāt even have the game yet and Iām undecided and conflicted

Currently running a shadowmonk rogue which smacks. Theres lots of fun Multiclasses I would just google around on Youtube for how to pull them off
You dont gotta worry about party compositions much in this game. 5E dnd is pretty much made to be played with every type of comp. So feel free to get your 4 barbarians or sorcerers if that inspires you
