We’re 7 movies deep, feels like the right time do something more radical with the franchise.

the sequels/reboots (besides recent entries) haven’t been the greatest in this franchise so I’m ready for something new

Not surprising considering Prey was light on the horror / thriller aspects as well

The Great with her and Nicholas Hoult is so good

Funny enough, a lot of the reactions I’m reading are saying this movie is actually really really good, better than Prey even, just that it’s a different kind of movie than previous Predator movies so some people might be jarred by that fact.

Review embargo seems like it lifts some time on the 4th.

I mean. Wasn't this the route they would go next naturally? They already did the OG formula with Prey three years ago, and we just got an animated series last year.

Watch the first one at least, action classic

For what this seems to be going for, you should check out the animated feature that released earlier this year. “Predator Killer of Killers”. It kicks ass and does a good job of introducing the Predator species
