Some teenagers sitting next to me clearly weren't into it and kept sighing and squirming in their squeaky ass seats smh like you aren't actually trapped in the backrooms guys leave if you're gonna be annoying about it
Really gotta slap those people.
Request a refund and just save your money bro this s*** a snooze fest
Nah, dont say this, in the big screen gonna hit different
Does this follow the lore of the OG joints? I kinda figured it would roughly follow in general terms but chart its own path
I haven't seen anything that conflicts with each other
I liked the weird, abstract nature of it as I hadn’t watched the series prior but do feel like some of the hype was unwarranted - shot fantastically however, shout out to the director

Everyone itt don’t listen to this person. Go watch it for yourself, this type of atmospheric horror just isn’t for everyone
Was coming out the theater and some dude walked out saying that s*** was a waste of his time and money
It was long and I didn’t like the plot of him going in the backrooms in the first place, like what was the point of doing all that and bringing people with you? He also failed to tell them that there were others in the backrooms already.
But as a whole it wasn’t bad if you know the lore, it’s a good movie for the fans but probably boring and confusing watching it casually

At that time I dont think he know there were others down there, unless I missed something. Also I think if a lot of business owners discovered an endless hallway in their own building, they’d look through it. It’s not that unbelievable.
Tfw the backrooms version of Clark's wife starts running for her life when Captain Clark pulls up
Tfw clark tried to use the therapy defusal tactics on Captain Clark to "break his loop"/be better than his "wiring" and got killed for it

And it’s okay it’s not for everyone. I don’t think it marketing as being easily digestible

I’m not saying it’s a bad thing that it’s not for everyone.
But saying “this is bad, it didn’t make sense, don’t go see this film” isn’t a productive way to approach art . Everyone should give the film a try for themselves, and come to their own conclusion

Yeah I’m agreeing with you I worded it poorly essentially I get emotion feels now they feel but wanting everyone to feel that way unnecessary. People know what they getting into and aren’t spending their last dollars on a movie where they could bd so dissatisfied they become distraught. It like any movie will have ups and downs it’s about journey

He also had clear psychological issues and was looking for something to give him a purpose even if it's exploring creepy empty rooms

O yea for sureee. I’m almost certain the Backrooms for him represented his subconscious in a lot of ways. And he ends up “getting lost” in his subconscious, and embracing all of his toxic traits. That’s why he’s so comfortable down there, there’s no one there to judge him or tell him he needs help

I guess so but also when he first went in there he noticed he wasn’t alone and kept calling out to them. They didn’t answer and tore up the cut out so he got scared and dipped.
It’s just unfortunate that a lot of people are going to miss the very blatant themes of this film and instead will just say “this didn’t make sense, don’t go see this movie, nothing is explained”
But it is what it is I guess, I knew this film wasn’t meant for mainstream audience appeal

I have a condemned hotel near my apartments that's finally getting torn down but its just been sitting there for like over a decade and u get dumbass kids who go in and f*** around in there all the time despite there being mold and occasionally homeless ppl sleeping in there lol point being people will run headfirst into things they shouldn't because of curiosity or boredom (which they also showed with them not having any customers and all that)

I think his curiosity just got the best of him plus being psychologically off a bit...by the time the two younger employees realize it's a mistake s*** goes south and they can't escape

Plus not for nothing, it's kinda implied that the initial layout of it is inspired by his architect fantasies/doodles. Wish fulfillment made manifest, he thought he could escape from the unsatisfying reality of peddling furniture by literally submerging himself into his old passion

Even if they do get the themes and don’t love how they are executed saying “ don’t go see “ is a lot . Acting like this is HIM
