Don’t force these type of slow atmospheric films. Just watch it when you’re actually in the mood and THEN get back to me
The score alone is one of the best of the 10s

Score is great and atmosphere is also good, but the story itself and the concept is just too ‘big brain’ for me while not it actually being all that clever or smart.

I don’t care about that for these audiovisual experiences you know my fav film is ETV its all about emotional response for me and immersion
It doesn’t all have to be complex like that, all her reactions were very raw, the camerawork was beautiful. Score was magical. Plenty of blanks to fill in or interpret
Glazer is a true magician, Sexy Beast is totally different and actually relies much more on a script but it’s one of the coolest films of the 2000s

yeah I guess its more preference tbh, you're more about pure visual style. I guess I care more about the emotional response a concept or a story gives me, if its dumb I cant really connect with it, or it must be that the film itself knows its dumb. Idk how to describe it but I don't like films that think they're smart without actually being so.

But who says the film is trying to be smarter than it is. I respect you and you’re a great poster but i feel like it’s an easy copout answer for these types of films. What happened to just saying that something isn’t your cup of tea without resorting to statements like this that aren’t based on anything really
