seeger22that comparison is so out of touch is hilarious. keem already had the success of the melodic blue (not to mention the kendrick connection) the eyes and ears are already there. at the time of ABNH, doechii was not known in a mainstream sense at all (not to mention she is a black woman without a superstar family connection) so in terms of getting a shot to enter the american mainstream, she needed a whole different push compared to keem
my take on why they aren’t dropping any songs on streaming before release is to get people to listen to the whole record as is. clearly there’s a story being told and it starts with the documentary and hopefully it will make sense when the record drops on friday

exactly. and who knows, drake might release a song this week to “step” on this album as rumored and they don’t want any ammo wasted beforehand, but that’s another conversation entirely

notmyfirstrespectfully I dont want 20 keem interviews with every outlet, Clipse were coming off a huge hiatus with Malice making a big choice, losing their parents, etc. I dont imagine Keem has that much to say, this suits him way better.
Clipse are also from a different era, and were releasing their first album together after a huge hiatus. Makes sense they went on the promo run they did, wit Roc nation too

Nahh i don think PG lang will shelve Keem. I really don t think they plan on moving traditional with their artists. Im not mad at your takes, i agree for the most part. I think they just move different. This album will be big for Keem but im not expecting him to be such a mainstream act.
