personally, I think Casino is a great title if it goes into detail of his Childhood as a transplant to Las Vegas and the fact that his life has been crazy before he really became a big name.

I argued with someone in another thread that it would be inexcusable if Clipse went harder promoting their album than Keem as a new act. Keem should be everywhere doing interviews etc…

I was right. The snippets sound fire but there’s no hype behind this album. The mysterious s*** only works for Kendrick and it’s a mistake to stamp it on everybody else

respectfully I dont want 20 keem interviews with every outlet, Clipse were coming off a huge hiatus with Malice making a big choice, losing their parents, etc. I dont imagine Keem has that much to say, this suits him way better.

I’m positive Kendrick didn’t want to do all the interviews and make all the appearances he did when he was trying to blow up. But that’s what you need to do when you’re new, partially just to get the outlets on board with you when you drop. Keems moving like the association with Kendrick is enough promo and I think that’s probably a mistake

That method of promo is outdated imo, the hype for this album is fine. It just has to be great and it’ll catch on, enough people are aware of it. It worked for Clipse cause it fit their audience.

Keem doesn’t have to go sit with Ebro to build hype

5 years is just too long for a new artist that isnt fully established so im not surprised. He probably should of went harder for the rollout because of how long his absence was. But as long as the music is good it is what it is

a lot of people view “rollout” as having to all be anticipation and press run leading to high first week sales and that being the end all focus

a rollout can start after or immediately during an album’s release and is probably better for long term staying power

This is the perfect rollout for him, he built a ton of anticipation, and he’s doing a tour/festivals, he will be fine, especially if the music is great

Yes but die for my b**** is perfect 18 year old music, he can still make hype music at an older age, he has a few on TMB, but having some depth like he does on TMB as he ages makes the most sense

18-25 is such a huge developmental jump on a biological level, an artist not maturing usually doesn’t workout long term for them
