Solid follow up to melodic blue while being completely the opposite for the most part. Keem turned into andre 3k on not a lyricist

Why are albums are so short . Like it would be fine if it didn’t have concepts that need to be fleshed out . It’s an odd mix of radio like poppy rap with really dark material . 30 minute albums after 4-5 year waits for a tour just doesn’t work for most artist to me . Outside of like djs who can remix other songs too . This album would benefit from being longer and more focused on its concept . Not bad but just feels like something missing

Beat on Birds & the bees is some post TLOP Kanye s*** I f***ing love

I am not a lyricist soul of the album . Without it most of this honestly throw aways of more potential for me and closing track . Feels like it could have had much more concepts connected to casino atmosphere and what got him here . Artist should aim drop more often loosies that don’t fit on album then drop competed project ideas . Maybe this just the way music is moving though . Feels unfair to compare this to melodic blue as focus . This feels more inherently commercial

It's a 40 minute album. One song didn't get cleared or whatever but is on the physical.

Rounding down to 30 is already disingenuous, and nobody who sat through The Fall Off is mad at this runtime.

I still think personally albums with 2 minute songs often feels too short for me be it 30-40 minutes with cut song . Thats me . It’s about how you use the time . J Cole didn’t use the time well in my opinion and drifted away from a concept he laid out in long Instagram post
