Unsure if it’s ever been posted anywhere official but I did see Sab in threads recently mentioning that they’re changing the rules for threads—I think under the new aforementioned rules this is considered an album ‘announcement thread’, I could be wrong, I hope so actually, but it’s obvious that the site needs clarification, until then I foresee this being a grey area in the rules

Like I doubt this would even be a thing right now if you had broken the news live like the other thread did, if you did then this would unanimously be the album thread, so in this case It seems the grey area is timing.
