    feel like this flew over alot of people's heads so lemme break it down real quick

    In the first line on surface level it looks like just a shoutout to Canadian legend David Foster, Drake reached out to him to come over and lay some keys as David revealed in an interview last year:

    However later on we will see it pay off as it is a setup to the whole "The Bodyguard" wordplay in this stanza

    In the next line, he says his bodyguards don't look like Kevin Costner which has the literal meaning and is a wordplay on the movie Kevin Costner stars in with Whitney Houston who is referenced on the next line:

    The premise of the movie ties in with the title and hook of the song as it is about a former secret service agent (Kevin Costner) who is hired to protect a POPSTAR (Whitney Houston)

    David Foster who was mentioned in the previous line was the producer of the soundtrack for the movie which is the highest selling soundtrack of all time with 45M sold worldwide, in fact Tuscan Leather samples a song from the soundtrack written by David Foster & Whitney Houston
